WC 14: Final Class 12/06/16

Final Presentation:
Come prepared with the following:
– Promotional example (Electronic or Physical)
– Sample content (archive)
– Evaluation – What went right/wrong. What could be better?
– Review your metrics.

FINAL DELIVERABLES:
– 1 Blog (technical journal). All Serials, Vine/IG and assignments should be here. Send URL.
– 1 Video (What I did Last summer)
– 12 Serial Videos
– 12 Vine/IG
– Podcast (link with minimum, 2-3 videos)
– 2 archives (if available) for initial live projects
– Proposal/Plan for Final Project
– Archive of Final Project + Final Presentation in class

TODAY:
Review your project. Show Archive.
What could you do better?
Tech:
– Use LAN cable when possible
– Drop frame rate if streaming pre-recorded video
– Know the software (OBS)- It’s quite deep. Spend time with it.
– Use an external microphone, if music is the main point
Game Play:
– Planning is key
– Dry runs are a must

Externals: Cameras need the proper drivers to work. May take some research
Microphones – can be checked out of the equipment room

– Did you Promote? You want friends and family from your networks participating.
– Send me link of FB link (you may have to include me (jparada@uarts.edu) in FB friend list).
– Interactive Game of some sort lasting a minimum of 20 (TWENTY) minutes
– Use FB live, Youtube OR any other provider
– Real time interaction REQUIRED (platform)
– Archives required
– After you are done, come back to class to briefly review

Make sure you understand Podcasting and the ITPC Protocol (This is a deliverable for the class)

LIVE STREAM:
– Review some of the past projects
OBS does it all here are some tutorials for plugins
– Work in pairs
– Keep some basics in mind: Lighting, script (plan), Game play, Connection, Promotions and marketing, platform and interaction, Dry run, always have a plan B.
– First interactive Live Streaming Project: Due IN class next week

But, technology evolves and streaming is quickly becoming a core service.
